ANALYSIS: We are still waiting and hoping for James Wiseman's comeback this season, but are we sure it is happening? Hmm... By the time Wiseman should have been close to getting back to the court (late December/mid-January) we got informed he would be undergoing surgery on his knee. I mean, consider the guy done for the regular season at the very least. This means Looney is here to freaking stay, same as he's been all year long starting at the center position on a game-to-game basis.
Perhaps the Warriors were also hoping for Wiseman to come back in time and that's why they were only handing Looney an average 19 MPG before December... only to then keep him on the court for a much healthier 23 MPG since Dec. 1 and an even larger 25 MPG figure since the start of the 2022 calendar year. Of course, with the likes of Wiggins, Steph, and now Klay Thompson around, Looney is just never going to put up scoring numbers. He has hit double-digit points a few times here and there, but that's not where he finds his mojo.
Looney is attempting just 4.6 FGA per game. That said, he doesn't stretch the court at all, so the shooting percentages are always sky-high (almost 55% from the field on the year). The rebounding was nice at 7+ RPG over the full season, but it's been absolutely ridiculous of late with an average of 12+ RPG in the past five games (last week of play) with all of those matches finishing with Looney pulling down 10+ rebounds. Jesus Christ. Looney benefits from playing along with the first unit in terms of dishing out some dimes, but his true margins-upside comes from the blocks cat (0.8 BPG).

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 8% of leagues ANALYSIS: The surge of Deni Avdija in all fantasy leaderboards has a very easy-to-grasp reason and that's Kyle Kuzma missing time with an injury.
