Mike Glennon Needs Surgery, Won't Play In Week 18
3 years agoNew York Giants head coach Joe Judge said that quarterback Mike Glennon (wrist) will require surgery for a wrist injury he suffered in the Week 17 loss to the Chicago Bears, and he will miss the Week 18 regular season finale against the Washington Football Team. Glennon returned to the starting role in Week 17 and was absolutely terrible, going 4-for-11 for 24 yards and two interceptions while fumbling four times (two lost). The 32-year-old will finish the year 90-for-167 for 790 yards, four touchdowns and 10 interceptions while taking nine sacks in six games (four starts). The Giants season will mercifully end this weekend with Jake Fromm making his second career start. He hasn't looked quite as bad as Glennon in limited action, but things probably won't get much better in Week 18. The Washington defense will be a strong streaming option.
