Vegas Golden Knights forwards Ivan Barbashev (upper body) and Nicolas Roy (upper body) will remain out for Monday's contest against Anaheim. Both players are unavailable for a third consecutive game. Pavel Dorofeyev has enjoyed first-line usage during Barbashev's absence but will skate on the third line on Monday, with Victor Olofsson elevated to the top line. On Monday, a line shakeup will also see Keegan Kolesar join the top six. Kolesar is fresh off a two-point game, while Olofsson has also recently enjoyed a good offensive spell, averaging a point per game across his last five appearances.

Vegas Golden Knights forward Nicolas Roy (upper body) will miss his first game of the season on Thursday versus Vancouver. Roy has been cold offensively in recent weeks, and his season has now suffered another setback due to an upper-body injury. In 31 games, Roy has contributed six goals and seven assists. Ivan Barbashev (upper body) will also miss Thursday's action, so the Golden Knights are set to roll out a new-look offense. Cole Schwindt, who has tallied six assists in 24 outings this season, will replace Roy on the fourth line, while Pavel Dorofeyev will fill in for Barbashev on the first line. Meanwhile, Tanner Laczynski will make his season debut on the third line after being called up from the AHL, where he has been red-hot with 19 points (six goals, 13 assists) in 17 games.

Vegas Golden Knights forward Nicolas Roy is battling an undisclosed ailment and won't feature against the Coyotes on Friday. He was injured in Tuesday's contest against Vancouver. Roy has played a big part in the Golden Knights' success in 2023-24, posting 38 points (11 goals, 27 assists) in 66 outings. He will be desperate to make a quick recovery and rejoin the lineup, as Roy is just two points short of setting his new scoring record for a single season. The 27-year-old will have his first opportunity to return on Monday in a rematch with the Canucks. Brendan Brisson is projected to fill Roy's spot in the lineup on Friday.

Vegas Golden Knights forward Nicolas Roy is expected to join the second line for Friday's Game 5 against the Oilers. The Golden Knights have suffered a couple of heavy defeats in the last three games and head coach Bruce Cassidy has decided to switch things up a bit, with Michael Amadio getting scratched for the contest and Roy taking over his spot on the second line. Roy has been limited to fourth-line minutes, but he's collected all three of his points this postseason in the last four games and could now do even more damage in a bigger role.
