Jordan Howard Misses Practice Wednesday
Jordan Howard (neck) was unable to practice on Wednesday, while rookie Kenneth Gainwell (ankle) was listed as limited with an ankle injury. Miles Sanders is out in Week 17 against the Washington Football Team due to a broken hand, so Howard would be in line for a significant role in the Eagles leading rushing offense if he can play. Boston Scott was a popular waiver-wire pickup this week with Sanders out and Howard iffy to play. If Howard is inactive as well, Scott would be Philly's featured back and would have high-end RB2 upside on Sunday. Gainwell is probably only worth using as an RB3/flex option in PPR leagues if Howard is unable to get cleared against Washington. We'll continue to monitor Howard's status all week.

Jordan Howard Joins Saints Active Roster
Jordan Howard, wide receiver Kevin White and defensive back PJ Williams from the practice squad to the active roster in time for the Monday night game against the Baltimore Ravens. With Mark Ingram II (knee) sidelined multiple weeks, Howard should see some real offensive snaps as the No. 2/3 behind Alvin Kamara in the Saints backfield. The 28-year-old could be worth a deep-league pickup as Kamara's handcuff until Ingram returns from his knee injury. The Saints will be without receiver Jarvis Landry (ankle) another week, and Michael Thomas (toe) is out for the year, so White will hope to pick up snaps behind Chris Olave, Tre'Quan Smith and Marquez Callaway on Monday.

Jordan Howard Works Out With Steelers
Jordan Howard worked out with the Steelers on Friday. The veteran began his career in Chicago, playing his first three seasons with the Bears and compiling 3,370 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns off nearly 800 carries. However, his production has fizzled after he was traded to Philadelphia ahead of the 2019-20 campaign. Nevertheless, with Najee Harris maintaining a firm grasp on the No. 1 spot on the depth chart, Howard likely won't offer much to fantasy managers if he's fortunate enough to earn a place on the roster this season.

Eagles Expected To Have Miles Sanders, Jordan Howard
Miles Sanders (hand) and Jordan Howard (neck) will be available for the wild-card game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this weekend. Howard and Boston Scott were activated from the COVID-19 list on Monday after the missed the Week 18 regular season finale. Sanders broke his hand in Week 17 and missed last Saturday's game, paving the way for rookie Kenneth Gainwell to have a much bigger role against Dallas. Prior to breaking his hand, Sanders was running the best he had been all season long, so expect the Eagles to give him the majority of the workload in a tough matchup with the Buccaneers.

Boston Scott, Jordan Howard Out For Week 18
Jordan Howard and Boston Scott remain on the COVID-19 list and will not play in Saturday's game against the Dallas Cowboys. With Miles Sanders (hand) already ruled out, Kenneth Gainwell will lead Philadelphia's backfield while Jason Huntley will provide a change of pace against Dallas. Gainwell should see the bulk of the carries and is a value play for Saturday's showdown slate. Howard and Scott will have to clear protocols to be available for the Eagles postseason opener next week.
