BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 38% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Considering what Max Strus has been able to do in the last week of play (four matches from Dec. 17 until Dec. 23), the 38-percent rostership is borderline nonsensical. Strus, who the Heat have absolutely trusted recently to insane levels of confidence, has paid back more than nicely. So much so, that he's even put on starting lineups twice in that four-game span with back-to-back starting calls in the last two games before Christmas.
Strus has played 34-34-36-41 minutes through the four games in the past seven days. He's benefited from the absences of Jimmy Butler and Cody Martin, of course, but even then he's made more than a solid impact and proved his worth to remain a very important part of the rotation as the season advances (Strus is and will stay a pine-rider ROS, don't get that wrong). But man, has Max been outstanding of late.
This is Strus average line in the last four games: 25-6-2 on a per-game basis. He's never scored fewer than 4 triples in any single game happening in that span. He's never dropped below scoring 18 pops. He's grabbed at least 4 boards in all of them and dished out at least one dime. All of that while shooting a ridiculous 55% from the field (on a super-healthy 16 FGA with usage rates above 22%) and 80% from the free-throw line (10-for-12 on freebies in those four games combined). The season-long averages (10-3-1) paint a realer picture of Strus, yes, but even then he's got enough upside and appeal as to consider him a must-add WW these days. Lock him in if you're hunting for cheap/free threes, points, shooting percentage--and the bonus of really low turnovers if you're into 9-cat leagues.

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 8% of leagues ANALYSIS: The surge of Deni Avdija in all fantasy leaderboards has a very easy-to-grasp reason and that's Kyle Kuzma missing time with an injury.
