Chase Daniel completed 11 of his 17 pass attempts for 117 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions during Saturday's 29-22 preseason loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Daniel was in command of an offense that was missing most of its starters. His touchdown throws included an accurate 41-yard strike to wide receiver

Chase Daniel to a one-year, $2.25 million deal on Tuesday, according to a source. Daniel will return in 2022 to back up impressive young quarterback
Justin Herbert. The 35-year-old Daniel played in just one game last year and didn't attempt a single pass. He hasn't started a game in the NFL since he made one start for the Chicago Bears in 2019. Daniel began his career in 2010 with the New Orleans Saints and has made just five career starts over 12 seasons with the Saints, Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, Bears, Detroit Lions and Chargers. The Bolts are hoping he won't have to start any games in 2022.
