It was a tough night on Saturday for Diego Ferreira when he suffered a second-round TKO loss to Mateusz Gamrot on the main card. While on the mat, Ferreira took a big knee to the body, which led him to call for the referee to stop the contest. In 8:26 of total action, Ferreira out-struck Gamrot statistically by landing 36 significant strikes (37 total strikes), but he was taken down on four of Gamrot's seven takedown tries. With the loss, Ferreira is now on a three-fight losing streak.--Matt Bricker

Diego Ferreira (18-5) is set to face Mateusz Rebecki on Saturday on the main card of UFC St. Louis. Ferreira is coming off a knockout win over Michael Johnson last May which snapped his three-fight losing streak. Heading into this fight, Ferreira is a big underdog as DraftKings has the Brazilian at a salary of $6,800. In the UFC, Ferreira is 9-5 with six wins by stoppage while he's been finished in three of his five losses. If he can pull off the upset and beat Rebecki, Ferreira could get a top-15 opponent next time out.--Cole Shelton

Diego Ferreira managed to get back in the win column after defeating Michael Johnson via a second-round KO on Saturday. Ferreira was desperate to get back into the win column after coming up short in his last three contests. After Johnson found success in the first round and for most of the second, Ferreira landed a thunderous overhead right to knock Johnson completely out cold. In 6:50 of action, Ferreira tallied 30 significant strikes compared to Johnson's 32. Before Saturday, Ferreira dropped a decision to Beneil Dariush and was then finished in consecutive bouts by Gregor Gillespie and Mateusz Gamrot. This was a much-needed win for Ferreira, who was out of action for 17 months.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBaller

At Saturday's UFC Vegas 73 at the UFC Apex, Diego Ferreira (17-5) makes his long-awaited return to the cage after over 17 months on the sidelines to face Michael Johnson. Ever since Ferreira suffered a TKO loss to Mateusz Gamrot in December of 2021, which was his third loss in a row, he has dealt with a plethora of injuries. DraftKings sees Ferreira as the favorite with a salary of $8,700. Throughout his UFC career of 13 bouts, Ferreira averages 66.3 fantasy points per contest. Although Ferreira is confident he will get the win, he believes the fight will be a war and likely the Fight of the Night.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBaller

After winning six straight fights, including a win over former champion Anthony Pettis, Diego Ferreira (17-4) has dropped his last two contests heading into this Saturday's bout against former KSW champion Mateusz Gamrot. 0-2 in 2021, a win for Ferreira would snap this streak and give him a bit of momentum heading into 2022. DraftKings sees Ferreira as the underdog with a salary of $7,700. Throughout his UFC career, Ferreira averages 70.6 fantasy points per contest. Facing such a dangerous talent in Gamrot, it's best to stay far away from Ferreira in this one.--Matt Bricker
