Duke Johnson Signed To Active Roster
3 years agoMiami Dolphins running back Duke Johnson signed a contract to join the team's active roster on Monday, according to his agent Drew Rosenhaus. Johnson rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns in Miami's win over the New York Jets in Week 15 after spending most of the season on Miami's practice squad. The decision to make Johnson active in Week 15 was necessary after Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed both came down with COVID-19 during the team's bye in Week 14. Both Gaskin and Ahmed were active on Sunday but it was Johnson who saw the majority of the work. While trying to predict how the backfield touches will be handled going forward, Johnson certainly earned himself a role over the final few weeks of the season. Fantasy gamers still alive in the fantasy playoffs will want to place a bid on Johnson's services during this week's waiver run.
