Week 15 NFL DFS GPP Stacks for FanDuel, DraftKings

Welcome back to another week of NFL DFS GPP Stacks! This is where I talk about the slate and give three stacks you should consider for your GPP lineups!

I generally make 3-5 lineups, because it is hard to nail every stack. I use a different stack for each GPP lineup and hope one of them pops to the top of the standings! If I win a GPP with one lineup and do not cash in the other six, I will still have a very nice day and win a good chunk of cash!

Before just diving into the picks for this week, some reminders about guidelines I use for stacks:

I want games with high point-scoring totals and close point spreads. The scoring part is obvious (more scoring = more fantasy points), but the game being close makes a bring-back player viable and keeps the team that is up playing with urgency throughout the game.

I generally want to fade a stack combination that is projected to be the most popular in the slate. This means I may choose to stack up that team different from the crowd, or I may do an outright fade. With that said, on to the picks!

Week 15 Slate Context

It is a tough week with all the COVID protocols. It's difficult to know who exactly is playing and who isn't playing at this point in time. Below are my thoughts as of this writing on Thursday, 12/16/2021, information is changing rapidly and I suggest you check lineups up to the minute for the latest news and updates on players' status.

(1) Los Angeles Rams

This is likely to be a chalky stack and for good reason. Seattle has the No. 32 passing defense and the Rams have the No. 3 passing offense. If he wasn't in COVID protocol, Stafford-Kupp-Beckham Jr would be a potentially popular stack. I kind of like Stafford-Kupp or Stafford-Kupp-Higbee. I generally tend to look at punting tight end. I would much rather punt a tight end that is correlated to my lineup than someone that is not if the projection is similar. If someone like Stafford or Kupp get ruled out for this game (knock on wood that does not happen), then move away from this stack.

(2) Green Bay Packers

This is a game that could get overlooked a little. Lamar Jackson did not practice on Thursday and this game has had an 8 point swing in the point spread since the lines opened moving from Green Bay +3 to Green Bay -5.5 as of the time of this writing.

Baltimore has the No. 31 pass defense. I want to have some Rodgers-Adams pairings going for sure. I am not quite sure if I want a third part of the stack at the point. It's a dart throw between Marquez Valdez-Scantling, Allen Lazard, and Josiah Deguara. I might lean Deguara because it's a tight end for cheap that can open up some opportunities in my lineup to add some bigger players.

(3) Miami Dolphins

This is another stack that could be chalky and at the very least is pretty cheap. The Jets have the No. 27 pass defense.  Tua Tagovailoa, DeVante Parker, and Mike Gesicki are all very inexpensive, offering affordability in some high-priced studs to round out your lineup. They are priced so low it would be difficult for this stack to not bring back value. The question is whether they can hit some kind of ceiling here to take down a tournament. I worry a little bit that people will see how much value this stack has and will be popular, especially with Jaylen Waddle potentially out. If this is a stack you roll with, you will likely want to get contrarian in other spots such as running back and defense to try to be unique enough to take home a tournament.
