Anthony Stolarz Sharp In Return
2 months agoToronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz stopped 26 of the 27 shots he faced in his return on Thursday evening en route to defeating the Seattle Kraken. The 31-year-old netminder has been sidelined since December with a knee injury but was sharp in his return. His lone mistake came in the final frame when Eeli Tolvanen beat him on a wrist shot. Before the injury. Stolarz was leading the Toronto crease as he held a 9-5-2 record with a .972 percent SV with a strong 2.15 GAA. Going forward, fantasy managers should expect Stolarz to share the crease with Joseph Woll. While they may split starts for the time being, Stolarz may emerge as the top option in the crease. Fantasy managers should expect Woll to get the nod on Saturday evening when they travel to Vancouver in their final game before the international break.

Anthony Stolarz To Miss 4-6 Weeks Following Knee Surgery
4 months agoToronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz (knee) will miss 4-6 weeks of action. He has already been absent for a couple of games after getting hurt in a contest against Anaheim last week. Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving revealed on Tuesday that an MRI showed no structural damage for Stolarz, but he has a "loose body" in his knee, which needs to be removed. Stolarz has landed on the shelf as the NHL's leader in save percentage with .927. He carries a 9-5-2 record with a 2.15 goals-against average and one shutout. We should see a lot of Joseph Woll in the Maple Leafs crease in the next few weeks, with Dennis Hildeby working as his backup.
