3 years agoAnaheim Ducks goaltender Anthony Stolarz will start once more for the Ducks on Wednesday. The Ducks will entertain the Seattle Kraken, who are on the back end of a back-to-back set. Stolarz has been incredible of late in goal for Anaheim. He has two shutouts and four straight wins. Toss out the Vegas start, and the numbers are even more incredible. He has allowed just nine goals on his last 136 shots faced. The Anaheim goaltender is looking for his sixth win of the season on Wednesday night against just two losses in regulation and one in extra time.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller

2 months agoToronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz stopped 26 of the 27 shots he faced in his return on Thursday evening en route to defeating the Seattle Kraken. The 31-year-old netminder has been sidelined since December with a knee injury but was sharp in his return. His lone mistake came in the final frame when Eeli Tolvanen beat him on a wrist shot. Before the injury. Stolarz was leading the Toronto crease as he held a 9-5-2 record with a .972 percent SV with a strong 2.15 GAA. Going forward, fantasy managers should expect Stolarz to share the crease with Joseph Woll. While they may split starts for the time being, Stolarz may emerge as the top option in the crease. Fantasy managers should expect Woll to get the nod on Saturday evening when they travel to Vancouver in their final game before the international break.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

2 months agoToronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz (knee) will log his 18th start of the season in Thursday's matchup against the Seattle Kraken. This will be his first action since Dec. 12. Stolarz has missed 24 games due to a knee injury. Prior to his injury, the 31-year-old offered really solid goaltending for the Maple Leafs, posting a 9-5-2 record. He is sporting a 2.15 goals-against average and has registered a .927 save percentage with one shutout. Stolarz is expected to add another victory to his account on Thursday, as the bookmakers list Toronto as a -152 favorite for the game.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

2 months agoToronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz (knee) skated at practice on Friday and is on schedule in his recovery from a procedure that removed a loose body from his knee. Stolarz hasn't practiced since December 12 and was given a four-to-six-week recovery time, meaning he should be able to return in the next week or so. Stolarz's return will be a huge boost for the Leafs, as he was boasting an incredible .927 SV%, 2.15 GAA, and 12.5 GSAA. Stolarz and Woll will share the net and will both be viable fantasy options when the former returns.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller

4 months agoToronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz (knee) will miss 4-6 weeks of action. He has already been absent for a couple of games after getting hurt in a contest against Anaheim last week. Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving revealed on Tuesday that an MRI showed no structural damage for Stolarz, but he has a "loose body" in his knee, which needs to be removed. Stolarz has landed on the shelf as the NHL's leader in save percentage with .927. He carries a 9-5-2 record with a 2.15 goals-against average and one shutout. We should see a lot of Joseph Woll in the Maple Leafs crease in the next few weeks, with Dennis Hildeby working as his backup.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
