Dalvin Cook Returns To Dominate Steelers With 222 Total Yards And Two Scores
3 years agoFantasy managers who rostered Dalvin Cook were fully prepared to be without their first-round pick in their pivotal Week 14 matchups. When reports started coming in that Cook was going to attempt to play through a shoulder injury, managers were rightfully hesitant to trust putting him into their lineups in some must-win situations in a lot of leagues. For managers that ultimately decided to sit Cook? Oops. Cook ran all over the Pittsburgh Steelers to the tune of 205 yards rushing and two touchdowns. He also chipped in another 17 yards on his only catch of the game. The lesson going forward for fantasy managers is simple. If Cook is active, start him. He will more than likely battle the shoulder injury the rest of the season, but as shown Thursday night, he is more than capable of playing through it and being the every-week RB1 that he was drafted to be. Cook and the Vikings take on the Chicago Bears in Week 15.
