Ty'Son Williams A Healthy Scratch In Week 13
3 years agoBaltimore Ravens running back Ty'Son Williams is a healthy scratch for Sunday's meeting with the Steelers. Considering Williams has one offensive touch since Week 9, this shouldn't come as much of a surprise. You should have already let Williams go in redraft leagues awhile back, but he's still worth holding in dynasty since the Ravens running backs are all older players, with Devonta Freeman and Latavius Murray expected to shoulder the load this week.

Cardinals Sign Ty'Son Williams To Practice Squad
2 years agoThe Arizona Cardinals have signed free-agent running back Ty'Son Williams to their practice squad. After watching lead back James Conner and backup Darrel Williams exit Sunday's game against the Eagles due to injuries, the team appears to be bringing in some additional depth in case one or both players cannot suit up this week. The 26-year-old was one of several tailbacks they brought in for a workout, but so far, he is the only one they've elected to sign. He signed with the Indianapolis Colts to their practice squad in the offseason and spent two seasons as a Baltimore Raven before that. Even if both Conner and Williams are out, Eno Benjamin would be the starter, so this transaction has more implications for the health of those two than it does for Ty'Son Williams himself.

Colts Sign Ty'Son Williams
3 years agoThe Indianapolis Colts signed free-agent running back Ty'Son Williams to an undisclosed deal on Tuesday and waived center Alex Mollette in a corresponding move. Williams spent the last two seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, racking up 185 rushing yards and one touchdown on 35 carries while also catching nine of 12 targets for 84 yards in 13 games (three starts). All of his action came last season with Baltimore's backfield extremely beat up from the get-go. He'll join a Colts running back room that has All-Pro Jonathan Taylor, Nyheim Hines and Phillip Lindsay. Williams will provide valuable depth but won't be worth drafting in the vast majority of fantasy leagues before the regular season.

Ravens Withdraw Tender For Ty'Son Williams
3 years agoThe Baltimore Ravens withdrew the one-year tender for running back Ty'Son Williams on Tuesday, making him a free agent. It comes on the heels of the Ravens signing former Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers running back Mike Davis this week for more running back depth with J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards both returning from ACL tears this year. Williams had only 35 carries for 185 yards and one touchdown on the ground in his first NFL season last year, adding nine receptions for 84 yards on 12 targets in 13 games (three starts) for the Ravens. Wherever the 25-year-old lands, he'll be competing for a roster spot as RB depth and won't have much, if any at all, fantasy appeal.

Ravens Bring Back Tyler Huntley, Ty'Son Williams
3 years agoThe Baltimore Ravens tendered deals to impending exclusive-rights free-agent quarterback Tyler Huntley and running back Ty'Son Williams on Wednesday. The team also brought back Trystan Colon, Nick Moore, Geno Stone, Kristian Welch and Aaron Crawford. Huntley made his first four NFL starts with Lamar Jackson injured late in the 2021 season, and while he played admirably, he wasn't able to do enough to get the Ravens into the postseason. In seven total games, Huntley threw for 1,081 yards, three touchdowns and four interceptions while adding 294 rushing yards and two TDs on 47 carries. He'll give Baltimore experience behind Jackson again in 2022. Williams carried the ball just 35 times for 185 yards and one score in 13 games (three starts).
