OwnersBox Guard Picks
C.J. McCollum, POR - SG ($23,400) - 3 games
McCollum's last six games: 20.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.
And now, the Blazers are without Damian Lillard, which means that McCollum will take on even more of the scoring load for the franchise. I think these next few games are going to be big for McCollum and you'll want him in your lineup.
Armoni Brooks, HOU - PG ($10,500) - 3 games
Houston is dealing with backcourt injuries, and Brooks took advantage of that last game by scoring 18 points against the Thunder and adding four rebounds, two blocks, and two steals.
With Brooks looking like he'll take on a larger role in the near future, I view him as the ideal value play this week. Someone has to score points for the Rockets, right? And if that person won't be Kevin Porter Jr., then it can probably be Brooks?
OwnersBox Forward Picks
Julius Randle, NYK - PF ($25,500) - 3 games
Randle has topped 40 OB points in back-to-back games and is coming off a huge showing against the Bulls, with 30 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, and two blocks.
New York's best player has really been playing like it over the past couple of games. He's had a couple low-scoring games, putting up just 17 total points against the Suns and Hawks, but usually is a very strong play on a night-in, night-out basis.
Otto Porter Jr., GSW - SF ($21,600) - 4 games
Porter has surpassed his fantasy projection in three of the last four games, and by a big margin in the last couple of outings.
Against the Clippers, he had 18 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
Against the Suns, he had 16 points, six rebounds, three assists, and one steal.
He's got four games this week too, so that's a nice plus if you pair him with a three-plus game SF, because you can then drop his lowest score.
OwnersBox Center Picks
Dewayne Dedmon, MIA - C ($14,800) - 4 games
Bam Adebayo has a thumb injury that'll keep him out for at least a month. That moved Dedmon into the starting lineup, and he responded with a huge game against the Cavs, posting 11 points and grabbing 13 rebounds with two blocks, three assists, and one steal.
He won't do that every night, but Dedmon is going to play extensive minutes at the five, and this week you can pay $14,800 for four whole games of Dedmon. That's the kind of value that I believe you can't pass up.
