Boston Scott Leads The Eagles Backfield In Week 12
3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Boston Scott led the Eagles backfield in carries in a Week 12 loss to the New York Giants. He also scored the only touchdown of the day for Philly. Scott ran the ball 15 times, gaining 64 yards and scoring on a one-yard plunge at the goal line. Miles Sanders (ankle) was forced to miss some time in the second half, but even before he got hurt, Sanders and Scott were splitting time in the backfield with Scott getting the goal line work. Sanders was the more explosive runner, managing 7.1 yards per carry on his nine rushes, but Scott seems to have the coaching staff's trust. This is a messy backfield that could get Jordan Howard (knee) back before long, making things even messier.
