Detroit Red Wings goaltender James Reimer will get the starting nod for Saturday's contest against the visiting Buffalo Sabres. It's a seldom start for the veteran as Alex Lyon has taken over the crease in Detroit, starting 10 of the team's last 12 games, including seven of the last eight. It hasn't been a great season for Reimer who owns a 3.09 goals-against average and a .903 save percentage across 19 games (14 starts), going 6-7-2 in that time. He also struggled last season with the Sharks when he posted a 3.48 GAA and an .890 Sv% across 43 outings, posting a 12-21-8 record in the process. He remains well off the fantasy radar, even with Lyon showing some significant regression of late. The Red Wings have lost seven straight games entering Saturday's action.

Detroit Red Wings goaltender James Reimer will log his 13th start of the season on Sunday versus Chicago. Detroit's backup is getting a rare opportunity to play, with the team finishing off a back-to-back. This will be only the third start for Reimer since the turn of the year. He's produced a 5-6-2 record for the campaign while allowing 2.98 goals with a .904 save percentage and two shutouts. Reimer has struggled to get wins on the board, but he'll be in a great spot to grab a W on Sunday, as the Blackhawks average a league-worst 2.07 goals per game.

Detroit Red Wings goalie James Reimer is set to start Thursday's game against the Montreal Canadiens. Reimer has been the backup to Ville Husso this season, but the difference in their numbers is striking and the former could see more starts as a result. Reimer is 2-2-0 with a 1.52 GAA (4.4 GSAA) and .944 SV%, while Husso is 5-3-1 with a 3.57 GAA (-4.1 GSAA) and .890 SV%. Reimer is a great streaming option Thursday and could even be a hold if he performs well, especially for those who already own Husso.

Detroit Red Wings goaltender James Reimer made a perfect start to life at his new club on Monday, shutting out the Blue Jackets with 23 saves in a 4-0 win in his debut. He became only the third netminder in the Red Wings' 97-year history to shut out the opponent in his team debut, joining Ville Husso and Dave Gatherum. Reimer went only 12-21-8 with the Sharks last season, but he should have much more fun during the 2023-24 campaign, with Detroit having all the tools to make it back into the playoffs. With Ville Husso ahead of him, Reimer won't play as much, but he has a great chance to register more wins than losses in Motown.
