Calgary Flames left-winger Matthew Tkachuk scored with less than six minutes to go in the third period to lift the Flames to another win on Tuesday night. Tkachuk racked up four shots on goal and the game-winning tally. If anything, the winger has improved on his offensive production over the past several seasons. Tkachuk is averaging 3.2 shots per goal on the season, has nine goals and 18 points in 20 games. Calgary gets a break until Saturday night versus Winnipeg. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller

Florida Panthers winger Matthew Tkachuk enjoyed an impressive comeback in Tuesday's Game 1 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning, finishing with three points in a 6-2 win. Playing for the Panthers for the first time since Feb. 8, Tkachuk bagged a couple of power-play goals and had an assist with the man advantage. He wrote his name in the history books alongside Nate Schmidt when the two scored within 14 seconds in the second period, marking the fastest two goals in a playoff game in franchise history. Tkachuk now boasts a whopping 49 points (19 goals, 30 assists) in 45 games over the past two postseasons, the fourth-highest total in the league.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Florida Panthers winger Matthew Tkachuk (groin) was activated from long-term Injured Reserve on Tuesday, paving the way for him to join the lineup for Game 1 against the Tampa Bay Lightning. After suffering a groin injury during the 4 Nations Face-Off, Tkachuk has missed 25 games. The Panthers will use Tkachuk on the second line next to Sam Bennett and Mackie Samoskevich, while he is also set to skate with the top power-play unit. Tkachuk was tied for the most points on the team with 22 during Florida's triumphant Stanley Cup run last year. He made 52 regular-season appearances this term, scoring 22 goals and 57 points.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

The Panthers star seems to be on track to return to the lineup for Game 1 against the Tampa Bay Lightning. During the regular season, Tkachuk played in only 52 contests, yet he finished as Florida's third-highest scorer with 57 points (22 goals, 35 assists). On Saturday, Tkachuk practiced on the second line alongside Sam Bennett and Mackie Samoskevich, while Brad Marchand dropped to the third line.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
