3 years agoSeattle Seahawks running back Alex Collins didn't do much in the team's Week 11 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Collins had 10 carries for 36 yards while adding no receptions on the day. Collins failed to find the end zone, and his fantasy stat line struggled as a result. This was the fourth straight game where Collins finished with fewer than six fantasy points, even in full PPR formats. He has become increasingly touchdown-dependent, and this team just isn't scoring enough points for him to be a reliable RB3/flex. The only reason Collins is worth keeping around is for the fact that Chris Carson (neck) is done for the rest of the season.--Gage Bridgford - RotoBaller

3 years agoThe Seattle Seahawks placed running back Alex Collins (abdomen) on Injured Reserve on Tuesday and activated cornerback Bless Austin from the Reserve/COVID-19 list in a corresponding move. Seattle also signed running back Josh Johnson to the 53-man roster from the practice squad. Even when Collins was the team's primary running back following Chris Carson's season-ending neck injury, he didn't do a whole lot with his opportunity and was more of a low-upside RB3/flex. The 27-year-old will finish his season with 108 carries for 411 yards (3.8 yards per carry) and two touchdowns while adding nine catches on 10 targets for 87 yards in 11 games. Rashaad Penny, who had another big game in Week 17, will finish off the year as Seattle's featured back.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

3 years agoSeattle Seahawks running back Alex Collins (abdomen), who came into the Week 17 game against the Detroit Lions as questionable, has been ruled out for Sunday's game. Collins hasn't been valuable to fantasy managers in a while. Rashaad Penny has become Seattle's lead back and will have a pristine matchup against a poor Lions rush defense in Week 17. Behind Penny, DeeJay Dallas and Travis Homer will be battling for backfield touches, although neither one of them has any kind of standalone fantasy value in a Seahawks offense that has been very inconsistent in the second half of the season. When healthy, Collins might actually be the No. 4 Seahawks RB at this point.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

3 years agoSeattle Seahawks running back Alex Collins is a healthy scratch for the Week 16 game against the Chicago Bears. Collins missed last week while on the COVID-19 list, and now he's the odd man out in this mediocre Seattle backfield. Rashaad Penny has been the team's leading ball-carrier in the last two weeks, and that should remain the case on Sunday against Chicago, although DeeJay Dallas and Travis Homer are likely to mix in as change-of-pace options. At best, Penny should be considered a low-end RB2 in fantasy lineups. Collins was initially the Seahawks lead back when Chris Carson (neck) went down with a season-ending injury, but he was completely ineffective in the role. Collins shouldn't be on any rosters in redraft leagues to close out the season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

3 years agoSeattle Seahawks running back Alex Collins (abdomen) doesn't carry an injury designation into the Week 16 game against the Chicago Bears after putting in limited practices all week. Collins missed the Week 15 loss to the Los Angeles Rams while on the COVID-19 list and is no longer the lead RB in this backfield. Rashaad Penny has been Seattle's primary option the last two weeks, although DeeJay Dallas scored the team's only touchdown on Tuesday. Collins played 23% of the offensive snaps and handled seven carries for 16 yards in Week 14 with Penny taking over. He's averaged a measly 3.8 yards per carry on 108 rushing attempts on the year and is no longer on the fantasy radar.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
