UPDATE: After this was written and published, it was announced that Trautman will be out for several weeks with an injury.

ANALYSIS: The Saints couldn't do a thing to defeat Philly this past Sunday, but that isn't quite surprising considering they have lost their main man at the QB and WR positions for the season, and that they also had to endure a game without RB1 Alvin Kamara. Good for them, TE1 Adam Trautman was healthy enough to grace the field and put on his best game of the season to date.

Trautman has played at least 44 offensive snaps in all last six games played by New Orleans, or an even better-looking 68% share of the total offensive snaps called by the team. Even more encouraging is the fact that Trautman had his best performance in W11 while playing the fewest snaps (44) with the lowest share (68%) in that six-game span as he had never fell below an quite-high 82-percent share. Trautman was good for an 8-5-58-1 line against the Eagles in what marked a season-high in receptions, targets, yards, and also his first touchdown of the year. Can't complain.

The Saints, obviously, are driven by QB Trevor Siemian and that is always going to give you pause, am I right? That's reasonable, but it should take that much from Trautman considering the state of this offense--barebones at best. Trautman is surely one to target, roster, and start weekly in deeper leagues with upside to stream in shallower formats (he's got three games of 8+ PPR points in a row with 4/5/5 receptions and 47/32/58 yards).
