3 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (quad) did not participate in practice on Thursday. Shepard started the season hot with 28 receptions and 299 yards in his first four games; unfortunately, since then, his season has been derailed by injuries. The wideout has been bothered by this quad injury for quite some time, and it doesn't seem to be going away quite yet. The reports have generally seemed more positive lately, so perhaps the 28-year-old can make a late-season return to fantasy relevance, but in addition to accounting for the already crowded wide receiver room and a bad quarterback, things don't look great. If needed, Shepard can be dropped in all standard leagues, but once he returns, he should be watched closely on the waiver wire.--Jordan Eisen
