Winnipeg Jets forward Nino Niederreiter notched two goals and an assist in Friday's 5-1 win over the Boston Bruins. The Jets dominated a good Bruins team on Friday, and El Nino was a big part of it. With 20 points (10 goals, 10 assists), the 31-year-old is now on pace to hit 50 points in a season for the first time since the 2016-17 season. He has been a great fit as a member of the middle-six and second powerplay unit for the Jets, and has made himself a viable deep-league option in fantasy as well as a solid streamer in standard formats.

The Nashville Predators have traded winger Nino Niederreiter to the Winnipeg Jets for a 2024 second-round draft pick. The Swiss forward changes teams for a second time in seven months after signing with Nashville as a free agent from Carolina in July. Niederreiter, whose $8 million contract runs through next season, has bags of experience in the league and should fit in well among Winnipeg's forward corps. In 56 games with the Predators, Niederreiter posted 18 goals and 10 assists. He's one goal short of reaching 200 career goals and needs four more points to become the third Swiss player in NHL history with at least 400 regular-season points.
