Harris English Looks To Get On Track At RSM Classic
3 years agoHarris English is still looking for his first made cut of the 2021/22 season after being cut from the Shriners and withdrawing from the CJ Cup due to a back injury. English took a month off, and returns at a place he finished inside the top-10 last season. In his career, English has made 5/9 cuts at the RSM Classic, but only two of his last five. English will have a top-tier DFS salary, and is a risky play at the price. English is the definition of a boom-or-bust option this week in Georgia.

Harris English Looking To Build Off Solid Finish At The PLAYERS
2 weeks agoSince winning the Farmers Insurance Open, Harris English has posted results of T73, T24, a missed cut, and most recently a T30 at the PLAYERS Championship. He now turns his focus to the Texas Children's Houston Open, an event he has played in seven times, making the cut in six of those appearances. To replicate his past success, English will be tested in all aspects of his game, with particular emphasis on his short game. He ranks 122nd in strokes gained around the greens (minus-0.122 strokes per round) but compensates with his putter, ranking 45th (0.325 strokes gained per round). He is also average off the tee, gaining 0.009 strokes, ranking 102nd on tour. While it is difficult to predict lightning will strike twice, English certainly carries momentum into this event. Fantasy managers may want to carefully evaluate their options at the $7,800 price tag he holds on DraftKings.

Harris English Sputters At Arnold Palmer Invitational
4 weeks agoHarris English missed the cut at last week's Arnold Palmer Invitational and is now focusing on preparing for this week's The PLAYERS Championship held at TPC Sawgrass. In 2025, English has one win and one top-25 finish. His performance at The PLAYERS Championship has been mixed; he finished T19 in 2024 but missed the cut in 2023. Notably, over 32% of approach shots at last year's event came from 100-150 yards. Over the past 12 months, English ranks in the fifth percentile for greens in regulation percentage on approach shots from this distance in the fairway. Including English in DFS lineups this week carries some risk.

Harris English Finishes T24 At Genesis Invitational
1 month agoHarris English finished tied for 24th at last month's Genesis Invitational and is now focusing on preparing for this week's Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Club. He won the Farmers Insurance Open in January and has had a strong start to 2025. English has performed well at this tournament in the past, finishing tied for 21st in 2024 and tied for second in 2023. Over the past 12 months, English ranks in the 75th percentile for greens in regulation on approach shots from 150-200 yards in the fairway. This is particularly important because over 35% of approach shots at last year's Arnold Palmer Invitational came from this distance. While Harris has had success at this event in previous years, he has also shown inconsistency at times in 2025. Therefore, including him in DFS lineups this week carries some risk.

Harris English Looking To Repeat At Torrey Pines
2 months agoHarris English won the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines just a few weeks ago and returns to the same venue this week to compete in the Genesis Invitational. The 35-year-old had the third-best putting performance of his PGA career, gaining over six strokes with the flat stick. Despite the win, English currently ranks 139th on approach, 99th around the green, and 135th off the tee to start the year. He also ranks in the 56th percentile in proximity from 150-200 yards, a range that accounts for 39.6% of all approach shots at Torrey Pines. However, he ranks 17th in strokes gained in putting, and fantasy managers will need to rely on English having another career day on the greens to be in contention. This makes his $7,600 price tag on DraftKings difficult to get excited about, even though he already won here this season.
