Tyler Conklin (TE, MIN) - Fantasy Football Week 11 Waiver Wire Pickups

ANALYSIS: If you have been managing fantasy football teams for a long time, you might know. If you have not, you definitively don't. I'm talking about the rail-thin tight end position and the very very few viable options for fantasy GMs out there. One of them, and one (for some reason) barely rostered at all is Tyler Conklin, Minny Vikings TE.

Perhaps fantasy GMs think a player putting up 9.8 PPR points per game is not worth the roster spot. But what if I tell you TE1 (top-12) players this season have a weekly cut-off of 10.4 PPR points per game and TE2 (top-24) guys have their cut-off at 6.3? Change of perspectives! Conklin has scored at least 9.5 FP in all past four games from W6 to W10 (Bye on W7) and that doesn't even make him justice as he's actually finished with 10.1+ PPR in all of those four games only falling below the 10-mark in W9.

Conklin has been a weekly target for QB Kirk Cousins and the tight end has seen 4+ targets in eight of his nine games, 5+ in six, and 6+ in four. He's gotten 24 targets in the past four weeks combined, he's turned 16 of those 24 looks in receptions, and he's averaged 46 receiving yards. Just this past Sunday, Conklin also had his best scoring outing with 2 TDs on 3 receptions (5 targets, 11 yards). Not going to happen every week, of course, but Conklin has been more than steady so far and should be a bonafide low-end TE1 ROS.
