Alex Collins Expected To Play In Week 8
3 years agoSeattle Seahawks running back Alex Collins (groin) is on track to play in Week 8 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. Collins is dealing with a groin injury and he was a limited practice participant to close out this past week. He figures to be the team's primary running back in Week 8 with Chris Carson (neck) still on injured reserve. Collins had a great game in Week 6 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, rushing 20 times for 101 yards and a score. However, he struggled significantly against the New Orleans Saints last week, managing just 35 yards on 16 attempts. The Seahawks reportedly want to get Rashaad Penny more involved, so that could be a problem for Collins. However, the team has a great matchup against the Jaguars so even 15 touches should enable Collins to deliver a worthy RB2 or flex game this week.
