Brandin Cooks Unlikely To Be Traded
3 years agoHouston Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks has been drawing trade interest from various teams ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline. However, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, Cooks is unlikely to be moved. Rapoport reports that the Texans want to build around the 28-year-old veteran, who currently has one more year on his contract. Cooks got off to a strong start to the year, compiling 23 receptions for 322 yards and a touchdown over his first three games, but he's been pretty quiet since then, mostly due to the struggles of rookie quarterback Davis Mills. Cooks is a WR3 option with Mills under center, but starter Tyrod Taylor (hamstring) could be back as soon as Week 9 and that will increase Cooks' value significantly.
