3 years agoThe Philadelphia Eagles promoted running back Jordan Howard and tight end Richard Rodgers from the practice squad to the active roster for Week 8 against the winless Detroit Lions. Safety K'Von Wallace (shoulder) was also activated from Injured Reserve. Howard has yet to play in 2021, but he has appeared in 12 games for the Eagles over the last two years and could have a short-yardage/goal-line role right away with Miles Sanders (ankle) on IR. Along with Howard, rookie Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott will split the playing time in the backfield against Detroit and for however long Sanders is out. Rodgers was active for the first time last week, but he played just seven offensive snaps and wasn't targeted at all.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
