Evan Engram Misses Practice With Calf Injury
3 years agoNew York Giants tight end Evan Engram (calf) was added to the Week 7 injury report on Thursday after missing practice with a calf injury. The Giants are already expected to be without running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) and wide receivers Kenny Golladay (knee) and Kadarius Toney (ankle), so they can ill-afford to lose another skill player on offense. Engram didn't make his debut until Week 3 and has just 14 catches on 21 targets for 127 yards in his four games. He would be in line for a bigger workload this Sunday against the Carolina Panthers if he's active, but that's now up in the air. If Engram misses his third game of the season, Kyle Rudolph would become a more attractive touchdown-down dependent TE2. But remember, Rudolph managed only four catches on seven targets for 33 yards in the first two games without Engram.
