Rudy Gay, Trent Forrest Sitting Out Opener
3 years agoThe Utah Jazz will be without forward Rudy Gay (heel) and guard Trent Forrest (concussion) for Wednesday's season opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Gay is still in the midst of recovering from offseason surgery on his left heel. He doesn't have a timetable for a return as of now. Forrest, meanwhile, is in concussion protocol. Royce O'Neale and Eric Paschall should benefit from Gay's absence. Meanwhile, rookie Jared Butler could see some late game action on Wednesday with Forrest on the sidelines, assuming the Jazz (13.5 point favorites) handle business.
