DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily Fantasy College Football (10/21/21)

DraftKings is upping the Thursday night slates. In fact, we have four games tonight and four games tomorrow before a usual loaded Saturday! Let's enjoy this folks! This is where college football DFS really gets fun!

We start off with Florida Atlantic heading up to Charlotte. Louisiana heads north to Blytheville to take on the Red Wolves. SMU hosts Tulane in Dallas before the nightcap with UNLV hosting San Jose State. There are some really good options on here, so let's get to it!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/21/21 locking at 7:30 pm eastern. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Quarterbacks

Tanner Mordecai, SMU ($10,000)

If you want the best you have to pay for it. The high volume for Mordecai and the promise of a (somewhat) close game have him as the best option regardless of price. Tulane has allowed over 300 passing yards in three of six games. The two games in which they didn't were to UAB with a backup quarterback and FCS Morgan State. The other was Houston, who still threw for 288 yards while running for 147 in a balanced attack. The point is that there are plenty of yards to go around in the Tulane secondary The only team in which they didn't allow three passing touchdowns to was Oklahoma in the opener. Trust that the numbers will be there for Mordecai.

Michael Pratt, Tulane ($7,300)

Pratt has had some growing pains this season, but his overall performance is still good. He threw for 214 and a pair of touchdowns against Houston, but the Cougars defense was all over him in the game. With sacks counting against Pratt's rushing yardage, he lost 48 yards on the game and fumbled. That took away all the good in the passing game. The SMU front is solid, but they wont be able to get as much pressure as Houston did. Expect Pratt to put up another solid line through the air and not lose several points in the run game.

N'Kosi Perry, Florida Atlantic ($6,500)

We saw FIU's Max Bortenschlager light up the 49ers through the air last weekend. The Miami transfer should be in for a nice game here as well. FAU doesn't throw as much as FIU does, but Perry has gone over 300 passing yards twice this year and came close two other times. I expect him over that mark here, which makes him a nice value play.

Also consider: Levi Lewis, Louisiana ($8,500); Nick Starkel, San Jose State ($5,800, if he plays); Cameron Friel, UNLV ($5,300)

DraftKings CFB DFS Running Backs

Charles Williams, UNLV ($8,200)

San Jose State was excellent against San Diego State's running attack last week so this still makes me a bit nervous. However, Williams is more talented than any of the SDSU backs (sorry Greg Bell......you know I'm still high on you). If the UNLV offense stalls out or the Spartans jump out to a big lead, Williams can sink your lineup. If UNLV is competitive like they were last week, he can break the slate. He had big games against both Fresno and Utah State. He is capable of another here, especially if Nick Starkel is out again for the Spartans.

Montrell Johnson, Louisiana ($5,800)

He is still splitting carries with Chris Smith (and Levi Lewis, for that matter), but Johnson has been doing more with his allotted carries. Smith has scored more touchdowns, but the freshman is proving to be a big asset to the run game. If you're playing cash games, I think you need Smith. However, Johnson seems to have more upside right now. The Cajuns sustained two backs with fantasy value last season. They can do it again.

Johnny Ford, Florida Atlantic ($5,300)

UAB shut down Ford and the rest of the FAU ground game last week, but he still had double digit DraftKings points because of his five receptions. The Owls will get Ford the ball one way or the other. Maybe both considering how porous the Charlotte defense has been against the run and the pass this year. I like the upside of Ford in this one.

Also consider: Ulysses Bentley IV, SMU ($6,000); Cameron Carroll, Tulane ($5,500); Tre Siggers, SMU ($4,900); Calvin Camp, Charlotte ($4,500)

DraftKings CFB DFS Wide Receivers

Reggie Roberson Jr., SMU ($7,100)

SMU has a lot of targets for Tanner Mordecai, but Roberson still has the highest floor. He has caught a touchdown pass in four consecutive games now. Last week was the first week that Roberson was able to get loose on a long pass play. The Tulane defense has had their issues this year, so don't be shocked if he's able to get loose again. The number of passing touchdowns allowed by the Wave this year make is almost certain that Roberson will get at least one of those.

Corey Rucker, Arkansas State ($6,700)

I'm thinking that the Red Wolves will be tossing the ball around trying to keep up. They'll fail, but it's the thought that counts – especially in DFS. Rucker has three touchdown receptions over the last two games. He even scored one against Coastal Carolina, so I'm not too afraid of this matchup. The Red Wolves look to Rucker most often when they put the ball in the air. They will need to here.

Derrick Deese Jr., San Jose State ($6,400)

When Nick Starkel went down, Deese went up. Way up. He has 17 receptions for 295 yards and two touchdowns with Nick Nash under center. He had five receptions for 80 yards and no touchdowns with Starkel under center in the same amount of games. Starkel could be back, so if he is, pivot to Isaiah Hamilton instead. If Nash is in, Deese is a lock. Just don't risk it with Starkel.

Shae Wyatt, Tulane ($4,300)

The true freshman had his best game since the opener against Oklahoma in this one. The eight targets were a season high. The Wave have struggled at times in part because they don't have that go-to receiver. Wyatt didn't break anything deep, but he's the safest option besides Tyrick James and he comes a lot cheaper than James does. I like the upside on Wyatt, but the risk factors make him more of a GPP dart than anything.

Also consider: Victor Tucker, Charlotte ($6,900); Rashee Rice, SMU ($5,900); Te'Vailance Hunt, Arkansas State ($5,600); Jermaine Braddock, San Jose State ($4,300)

Running Back (RB) Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks for the Divisional Round(2025)

Lineup decisions are becoming increasingly difficult each week. For fantasy, of the eight teams remaining, the Chiefs, Eagles, Texans, and Lions have allowed the fewest fantasy points to the running back position this season. Only the Commanders and Bills have allowed fantasy production inside the top 20; there may be some foreshadowing there. It's time […]

Fantasy Football Sunday Injury Report: Updates for Jayden Reed, Ray Davis, Romeo Doubs, More

The NFL Playoffs are underway. With most teams watching football from their couches this week, the injury report is fairly light. However, we still had some players leave their games due to injuries.
