Baker Mayfield Plans To Play Through Shoulder Injury
3 years agoCleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield (shoulder) plans to play through a labral tear in his left shoulder and is expected to suit up in Thursday's game against the Denver Broncos. The former No.1 overall pick suffered a labral tear in his left shoulder in Week 4 and aggravated the injury in Sunday's 37-14 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. His left arm was in a sling, and he will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of his shoulder issue. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Mayfield plans to play through the injury. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor the situation leading up until Thursday's game. Mayfield has thrown for 1,674 yards and a 6:3 TD:INT ratio while rushing for 75 yards and a touchdown over five games in 2021. The 26-year-old is considered a borderline QB2 if he does suit up Thursday against the Denver Broncos. Stay tuned for more updates.
