BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team PPR Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 8% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: There aren't many wide receivers out there putting up K.J. Osborn's playing-time/usage numbers this season, let alone if we add the context of the Vikings. Osborn has appeared in "only" 277 offensive snaps (47th most) and logged a 62% snap share; for context, again, consider that both Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson lead the league in total snaps played (426 and 395 respectively). Well, even on that clear-cut WR3 role in Minny's offense, Osborn has been able to play to incredible levels of production weekly and that won't be changing any time soon--also, are we sure Thielen will stay healthy for the full season after missing 6 games in the past two years?
So, among WRs with no more than 280 snaps or a snap rate above 65% (pretty much every WR3 and some WR2 in the NFL), Osborn ranks fourth in total PPR points over six weeks of play only behind Antonio Brown, Christian Kirk, and Hunter Renfrow. He's racked up 311 yards on 26 receptions and hauled in a couple of touchdowns already. If you hate that talent, I don't even know what to say. Osborn fell a little off the radar in the W3-W5 span as he posted PPR tallies of just 4.6, 6.6, and 4.6 points, but he had two 14.6+ outings prior to that (one good for a WR14 finish) and he's now back at it.
Osborn is coming off the second-best game of his season after hitting 19.8 PPR points against Carolina this past Sunday. Yes, the game went to overtime, but Osborn was efficient as hell with a 7-6-78-1 line in just 48 snaps for a 54% snap share. I mean, that share is the lowest he's logged this season and the raw snap count is on par with his season average of 46 per game. Osborn is a bonafide fantasy asset to have rostered in almost every league out there (favored in PPR formats as he's a machine at catching the targets he sees) with the only question marks around him being the competition he has to face in terms of usage at the position in Minny. Not too big of a deal, though, considering what he's been able to do so far this season.
