Martin Truex Jr. A Reasonable Choice At Texas
3 years agoMartin Truex Jr. has never won on the Texas Motor Speedway course. One would think a low-maintenance intermediate track would be good for the No. 19 car. Honestly, it has. He did have a second-place finish during the Fall race last year. Truex Jr. led 53 laps as well. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver starts eighth on Sunday. What skews his results are the two times he had car issues which dropped his overall average finish to 15.83. That includes the previous six races (three top tens). Truex Jr. should be able to accumulate stage points at the very least and do well during the long run on Sunday.
