Sterling Shepard Back In The Fold This Weekend
3 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (hamstring) wasn't listed on the team's final injury report for Week 6 against the Los Angeles Rams, so he will return to the fold after missing the last two games. It's good timing with Kenny Golladay (knee) out, but Shepard will be returning to a very tough matchup with the Rams secondary. There's a good chance that he'll be facing coverage from shutdown cornerback Jalen Ramsey, which will make Shepard a tough sell as a WR4/flex in his return. The good news is that quarterback Daniel Jones (concussion) will play, and Shepard had a healthy 18 catches on 22 targets for 223 yards and a touchdown in the first three games before his injury. Rookie Kadarius Toney (ankle), who is questionable but expected to play, should once again see a big role in the passing attack with Golladay sidelined.
