Chris Carson Remains Sidelined For Thursday's Practice
Chris Carson (neck) remained on the sideline for Thursday's practice. The veteran missed Week 5 with a neck injury and it looks like his Week 6 status could be in serious doubt. It's never a good sign when a player misses two practices in a row and Friday's practice status is something that managers will want to keep an eye on. If Carson were to miss Week 6, Alex Collins would be the next man up. Managers that roster Carson should already employ Collins and he should be rostered in most formats with Carson's status in the air and is injury history. The Seahawks don't play until the night game on Sunday and managers may want to look into Collins or other options to be safe. Regardless of it's Carson or Collins, they will draw a tough Pittsburgh Steelers defense and will be RB2 options this weekend.

Chris Carson Not Present At Mandatory Minicamp
Chris Carson (neck) has not been present at the team's mandatory minicamp this week and hasn't shown up at all to offseason workouts while recovering from neck surgery. Head coach Pete Carroll has said that the team won't know Carson's availability until they see how his body responds to contact, which won't happen until training camp. It's not a surprise that Carson isn't in attendance, and he remains a big question mark to be ready for the start of the regular season, making him a highly risky fantasy selection. If the 27-year-old is delayed, Rashaad Penny, who was one of the best RBs in the league down the stretch last year, would see a big fantasy boost. Rookie Kenneth Walker III would also receive a boost in a complementary role.

Seahawks Are Optimistic On Chris Carson
Chris Carson (neck) is still rehabbing and the organization doesn't have many updates yet. However, head coach Pete Carroll and the organization are optimistic about Carson. He is recovering from neck surgery, so fantasy managers will have to wait and see. Hopefully there will be more information on Carson closer to training camp. In the meantime, Kenneth Walker and Rashaad Penny will fight for snaps in the backfield. This could end up being a timeshare type of situation, assuming Carson doesn't return right away.

Chris Carson Update Still In Limbo
Chris Carson (neck) is still rehabbing. However, head coach Pete Carroll still doesn't have an update regarding when the veteran will be able to resume football activities. Carson, who's had multiple seasons with at least 1,000 rushing yards throughout his time in Seattle, suffered a neck injury in Week 4 that cost him the remainder of the year. His future is cloudy, so even if a positive update comes in ahead of fantasy drafts, managers may still want to think twice before selecting him. At the same time, while Rashaad Penny remains the No. 2 option on the depth chart, DeeJay Dallas and Travis Homer could get some consistent snaps in 2022-23 if Carson remains out, which only adds more uncertainty to this situation for fantasy managers.

Chris Carson Doing Well In Workouts
Chris Carson (neck) will be ready for the 2022 season after undergoing neck surgery. "His workouts are going well, he's in good spirits, and he's looking forward to playing and getting back," Carroll said. "Anytime you have a neck surgery, it's obviously very intricate and all, we've got to see how that works out." Carson has a lengthy injury history and managed to play in only four games in 2021, but he's expected to be the team's leading ball-carrier if he's healthy in 2022, even if Seattle re-signs Rashaad Penny. The 27-year-old has played in 16 of the team's last 33 games, making him a risky fantasy selection, especially if Penny returns.
