Lance Lynn Could Be Used Out Of The Pen In Game 4
3 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Lance Lynn could be utilized by manager Tony La Russa out of the bullpen in Game 4. The team is trailing the Houston Astros 2-1 in the ALDS and they are facing elimination in Game 4, which is set for Tuesday after being postponed on Monday. Carlos Rodon will be starting the game for the White Sox, but Lynn, who pitched Game 1 of the series, could work in a tandem role after him. On Monday, La Russa stated, "Lance was actually in spikes and uniform in the bullpen last night." If the White Sox are able to win Game 4 without Lynn, then he would instead be the likely starter for Game 5. If Lynn pitches in a White Sox win on Tuesday, expect to see Lucas Giolito on the mound for Game 5.
