Ian Anderson Delivers Five Scoreless Innings In Game 3
3 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Ian Anderson helped lead the team to a 3-0 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 3 of the NLDS. He pitched five scoreless innings, allowing three hits and no walks while striking out six. The 23-year-old right-hander had some trouble keeping the ball in the yard during the final stretch of the regular season. He allowed seven home runs over 26.2 innings in September and had a 4.39 ERA over that stretch. However, Anderson has certainly begun to develop a reputation as a strong postseason pitcher. Dating back to last year, he has now thrown 23.2 postseason innings across his short career and he has allowed just two earned runs while striking out 30 batters.
