Riley Greene Removed From AFL Roster
3 years agoDetroit Tigers outfield prospect Riley Greene (head) was removed from the organization's Arizona Fall League roster this past weekend. He suffered a concussion in a game about a week ago while playing for the Tigers' Triple-A affiliate, the Toledo Mud Hens. He was supposed to compete in the AFL with the Salt River Rafters, but instead the organization is being cautious with him. The 21-year-old is one of the team's top prospects. Over 124 games split between Double-A and Triple-A this year, he slashed .301/.387/.534 with 24 home runs, 16 stolen bases, 84 RBI and 95 runs. There's a good chance he'll make his highly-anticipated MLB debut with the Tigers next year.
