Devontae Booker (RB, NYG) - Fantasy Football Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups

ANALYSIS: Devontae Booker through Week 4: 6.6 PPR points. Devontae Booker in Week 5: 20.8 PPR points. That's it. That's the post. Nah, not really, but if you paid the tiniest bit of attention to the developments taking place in the Giants game at Dallas you know what's popping. Shaquon Barkley, who was already eased into the year coming off a troubling offseason, got injured just 6 snaps into Sunday's game and chances are he misses time going forward. Enter backup Devontae Booker.

Booker, if you read the first line of the post, was a magnificent beast against the Cowboys. He played 60 offensive snaps (88%) which would have most definitely ended under Barkley's count had he not been forced out of the game. Expect that usage going forward if Barkley misses time. Booker did it all, rushing the ball 16 times for 42 yards and a touchdown on the ground... and not happy enough with that he decided to catch 3-of-4 targets for 16 bonus yards and a receiving touchdown.

We can't expect Booker to find paydirt twice weekly, obviously, but the amount of times he will be on the field either running routes or carrying the rock from the backfield is more than appealing to add him in every fantasy league out there without worries about the format. Booker should lead the Big Blue backfield with Saquon out, and you already know how that turned out for an otherwise-an-afterthought Wayne Gallman last year (15 games, 10 starts, 136.6 total PPR points on the season).
