BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 39% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: I'm writing after reading about Seahawks' HC Pete Carroll telling media that Chris Carson missed Week 5 entirely because of a neck issue popping up and the tailback not feeling comfortable enough to play. Now, to that, you have two add two things: 1) Rashad Penny hit the IR just a week ago, so he won't be around for the next few weeks; and 2) Allex Collins is someone who most definitely should not be found in any WW anywhere come Week 6.
Seattle faced the Rams last Thursday and the Seahawks will have ample time to recover leading up to this Sunday game. Even then, though, Carson has played only 78, 63, 43, and lastly (W4) 45 percent of the offensive snaps in what has been some sort of an evolving time-share on a backfield in which Alex Collins has grown more important by the week. Collins logged a 39% snap share in Week 4 and played 46 snaps (71% of Seattle's total) in Week 5.
While Carson is the true RB1 of the squad, Collins is the clear backup now and could be a weekly starter at RB3/FLEX with Carson out. Collins already scored 15.8 PPR points back in W4 finishing RB19 with a 44-yard, 1-TD (on 10 carries) rushing game against San Francisco to which he added 34 receiving yards on 2-for-2 receptions. He then proceeded to put up 9.2 FP this past Thursday with 47 rushing yards on 15 carries and 25 receiving yards going 2-of-3 at catching the rock. If only because of the opportunity, Collins must be rostered all across the fantasy realm and definitely started as long as Carson doesn't get cleared.
