Freddy Peralta To Start Game 3 Or 4 Of NLDS
3 years agoOn Friday, Milwaukee Brewers manager Craig Counsell told reporters that pitcher Freddy Peralta would start either Game 3 or Game 4 of the NLDS against the Atlanta Braves. The 25-year-old had a fantastic year, pitching to a 2.81 ERA and a 0.97 WHIP over 28 games (27 starts). However, he's been on extended rest lately as he hasn't pitched since September 26. His 144.1 innings in 2021 were a distant career-high and the team wanted to manage his workload down the stretch. We'll see what effect the long rest has on him (if any) as he takes the mound for his first postseason start this series.
