Nathan Eovaldi Named Starter For Game 3 Of ALDS
3 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi has been named the starter for Game 3 of the ALDS against the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday. The 31-year-old right-hander is coming off of a fantastic start against the New York Yankees in the AL Wild Card game. In the outing, he pitched 5 1/3 innings and allowed four hits, no walks and one earned run while striking out eight. The Rays have yet to name their starter for the game. It could be Michael Wacha or it could be a bullpen game led by Collin McHugh. Eovaldi faced the Rays four times this year and went 2-1 with a 2.39 ERA and a 0.84 WHIP.
