Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another edition of my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS picks. NiP didn't quite do it in the fashion I had hoped but they got the job done and so did Vitality moving them onto the semi-finals. For tomorrow's set of games, we have Astralis taking on Fiend and G2 gets Ence in their quarterfinals game.
Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS lineup picks, analysis, and advice for eSports DFS contests on DraftKings for Friday, October 8th, 2021, at 11:00, am.

IEM Fall 2021 Europe
Best of 3
- Astralis (-350) vs. Fiend (+250)
- G2 (-155) vs. Ence (+120)
Captain Plays
Lucky: Lucky has been a great addition to this Astralis team and with device leaving he was a great young player to replace him at the AWP position. He is at a great price, and I think we see a sweep by Astralis. 7,600$ is a great price for a captain as it allows you to pay up elsewhere, that it might be needed. Lucky has averaged so far during this tournament a 1.44 K/D with a .72 KPR and an extremely low .5 DPR. Lucky is an excellent player to start your lineups with, and Astralis has the perfect opportunity to sweep Fiend.
hunter-: I don't think you can go wrong with hunter or NiKo in this position. I just like the discount we get on hunter compared to NiKo. hunter has been the top fragger in 3 of the 5 play-in games for G2. He has been playing extremely well and has positive games in all 5 of the play-in games. I do think G2, pulls this off, but I don't think it is going to be by sweep. Therefore I do really like hunter in a captain spot where he can rack up a bunch of kills and all that at 7,800$. So far during this event, hunter is averaging a 1.64 K/D with an insane KPR of .94 and a low DPR at .57. If he can keep up this level of play that puts hunter in a great spot to crush his price.
Other captain plays in order of preference: NiKo, Dupreeh, Magisk, dycha (GPP), Spinx (GPP)
Value Plays
Bubzjki: Last time I wrote about Bubz, he did me very dirty. So, therefore, I'm going right back to him cause he owes me now. He hasn't been playing too bad and in this game, I do think we get a sweep here. At 6k that is just too much to pass up. Bubz had an even or better in-game in 4 of the 5 play-in games. During that period he averaged a 1.06 K/D with a .67 KPR and a .63 DPR. With playing Bubz we are mainly looking for that sweep bonus and him to just go positive. I do think that is very doable. Astralis has shown to be a very good team when it comes to LAN tournaments, they have a great matchup tomorrow and I think they carry that momentum into the rest of the tournament.
doto: This is a GPP/Risky play but doto has flashed upside in this tournament and he is only 4,800$ which is almost cheap enough to help you get just about anyone you want in your lineup. I think Ence can give G2 a run for their money they have played well so far and have only one loss that came in 4OT against OG. We don't necessarily need a lot from doto but if he can go positive in a 3 map match, then at his price he could be optimal. If you can afford it otherwise, I do recommend getting hades but as a Punt play, doto is in a good spot.
Other value plays in order of preference: hades(GPP), Xyp9x, Amanek, nexa

Top Stacks / Team Picks
Astralis: Astralis always seems to look good during LAN events, and so far they have won all 5 of their matches. With big wins over, Heroic, Complexity, and SinnerS. Fiend hasn't looked too bad either but took some rough losses to Skade and NiP. Astralis looks hot though right now and I anticipate them, handling Fiend, fairly easily. They seem to have found the team that works for them as well. They have brought Xyp9x back from the bench and replaced Gla1ve. Dupreeh and Lucky are my two favorite plays, especially at their price points. Magisk seems a bit expensive but isn't a bad option either. Xyp9x and Bubz are both kind of inconsistent during this event, either showing out or playing pretty poorly. At that point though, I'd rather go with Bubz as he is the cheaper option between the two.
Other stacking options: G2, Ence
