Logan Webb To Start NLDS Game 1
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants manager Gabe Kapler announced Wednesday that starting pitcher Logan Webb will get the ball for Game 1 of the NLDS on Friday, with Kevin Gausman starting Game 2 on Saturday. Kapler said the Giants decided on the order to give Gausman extra rest. However, Webb is more than deserving of the nod; the 24-year-old went 11-3 with a 3.03 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 26.5% strikeout rate over 26 starts this season. The Giants' entire roster has risen to the occasion all season long, and they will be hoping that Webb can get them off on the right foot Friday.
