DeVonta Smith Goes For 122 Yards In Week 4
3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles rookie wide receiver DeVonta Smith had his first 100-yard game and posted a new career high in catches in a Week 4 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Smith caught seven passes for 122 yards. He was targeted a team-high 10 times. The Eagles were peppering their rookie pass catcher with targets in the first half, as Smith went into halftime with five catches for 84 yards already. He could have scored a touchdown, but it was called back because he stepped out of bounds while running his route before catching the ball. Smith has had some up and down games, but with the Eagles looking like they're going to be a pass-first, pass-second, and pass-third offense, Smith's arrow is pointing up.
