Jonathan India Batting Leadoff In Season Finale
3 years agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India is back in the starting lineup for the team's season finale against Mitch Keller and the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday. India was given the day off on Saturday as he has been dealing with some general soreness. Reds manager David Bell told reporters on Saturday that India was far from 100%, leading to him getting the day off on Saturday. However, India reportedly talked his way into the lineup for Sunday's game. "He wants to play so bad, I just had to do it," Bell told reporters on Sunday following the lineup announcement. India has had a phenomenal rookie year, slashing .269/.376/.458 with 21 home runs, 12 stolen bases, 69 RBI and 96 runs over 149 games.
