Robbie Grossman Notches His First 20-20 Season
3 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Robbie Grossman stole his 20th base of the year in Saturday's game against the Chicago White Sox. He now has his first 20-20 season of his career as he has a career-high 23 homers on the season. Going into this season, the 32-year-old Grossman had never topped 11 home runs or nine stolen bases in a single season. Even though his batting average this year (.239) is down from previous years (career .250 average), this has still been by far the best offensive season of his career. He has showed great plate discipline in 2021 with a 14.6% walk rate that ranks in the 97th percentile of the league.
