Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Suffers Minor Ankle Injury
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (ankle) was removed late in Saturday's game against the Baltimore Orioles. According to Blue Jays manager Charlie Montoyo, Guerrero rolled his ankle while rounding first base in the sixth inning. He stayed in the game initially before being removed later on. He had a big day at the plate before his removal, going 2-for-5 with a two-run home run, his 47th of the year. Montoyo didn't sound very concerned about the injury. He said that if it were a knee or hamstring injury, he would have taken his star first baseman out right away. It seems likely that Guerrero will be good to go for the season finale on Sunday.
