Pete Alonso Homers Twice In Thursday's Win
3 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso helped lead the team to a 12-3 victory over the Miami Marlins on Thursday. He went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in the game. He now has 37 home runs and 92 RBI over 149 games this year. The 26-year-old slugger has been one of the league's top power hitters for the third consecutive year in 2021. His .526 xSLG ranks in the 92nd percentile while his 118.4 mph max exit velocity ranks in the 99th percentile. Few players are as reliable from a power perspective as the Mets star. He should be a high draft pick come fantasy draft season once again next spring.
