Rashaad Penny Remains Sidelined Thursday
3 years agoSeattle Seahawks running back Rashaad Penny (calf) missed practice on Thursday. Since injuring his calf in Week 1's win over the Indianapolis Colts, he has been unable to participate in practice. According to head coach Pete Carroll, Penny is progressing, and his calf is close to 100 percent. The Seahawks are expected to play it safe with their oft-injured running back and sit him out for at least one more week. Penny has had trouble staying healthy throughout his career and has played just 28 games over four seasons. Once healthy, Penny is expected to be starter Chris Carson's primary backup. If Penny is ruled out, Alex Collins, DeeJay Dallas, Travis Homer, and Carson will lead Seattle's backfield in Week 4 against the San Francisco 49ers.
