3 years agoKansas City Royals shortstop/third baseman Adalberto Mondesi is absent from the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against Zach Plesac and the Cleveland Indians. Hanser Alberto is getting the start at the hot corner and batting ninth in the game. Mondesi has been running wild in September, doing his best to make up for lost time after numerous injuries kept him sidelined for much of the year. He has 13 stolen bases on 13 attempts this month. Unfortunately, he's slashing just .187/.238/.307 in September. The 26-year-old should continue to give fantasy managers a boost in stolen bases over the second half of championship week, but it's hard to count on much else from him.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
