Gio Urshela Goes Yard In Win Over Blue Jays
3 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman/shortstop Gio Urshela went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, a home run, and an RBI in Tuesday's 7-2 win over the Blue Jays. Urshela has been on fire at the dish lately, something that continued in New York's big victory Tuesday night. The veteran infielder tacked on an insurance run in the ninth inning, belting a solo homer, his 14th of the year. Like most of the Yankee hitters right now, Urshela is hot at the dish, as he's currently riding an eight-game hitting streak during which he's gone 11-for-25 with seven runs scored, two homers, and two RBI. He's on the streaming radar for those in need of a third baseman/shortstop bat in their pivotal playoff matchups.
